Set List
We like to begin sets with the sexy, stimulating "Wear Her Out" featuring Brett on the mic. Then we move on to the Jesse's progressive, undulating "Broken Bones." In the middle of the set, Steven will take the mic and charm you with his witty R&B hit, "Drive Thru Lover." After that, Alex might sing his self-concious geek pop song, "Square Dance," if he feels like it. With snappy closers like "Start a War" and "American," people come away with a tune in their head, whether they like it or not.
Our sets typically last 45 minutes, and covers have included:

- Radiohead
- Spacehog
- David Bowie
- The Cars
- They Might be Giants
Stage Requirements
The Ums need a stage that is not tiny. We have a small drum set and load 3 amplifiers. We need 4 vocal mics, one for the drummer, one for the keyboardist, and 2 up front mics, all mixed evenly, as lead singers are on different mics. One double keyboard stand rounds out the setup: both of these are directable into the house PA. This totals 6 inputs to the PA (four mics, two keyboards) for a small club, and 9 in a larger venue where the amps need to be miked. We require at least 2 vocal monitors up front and one for the drummer.
